Ring in the new year loud because this gal has wrapped up 2017 with most of her (kitchen) life intact. Something to celebrate!
I’ve got myself a new home (no more tiny apartment!) and a new kitchen to get familiar with. So far it’s been a wild ride. Daily kitchen chores + kitchen reno = what’s happening to my life?! Some of you already know this intimately through my daily Instagram Stories which feature the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Kitchen reno is no joke. Still in the works. Still hurts my mind. But the cabinet doors are on (since December) and painted which brightens up the room a ton! Good for cooking and great for photography. But the walls still need mudding and sanding — a chore I despise now.

Honey Drizzled Sweet Potato Fries – Baked in the oven and covered in honey, vanilla, and butter. Google has been sending folks my way all year for this recipe. Rock on, Google.
Eggless Buttermilk Pancakes – I really hit the nail on the head with this recipe, it seems. I’ve toyed an eggless waffle version but it’s just not there. Maybe in 2018 I’ll solve the puzzle.

Instant Pot – They hype surrounding the Instant Pot is actually right on the money. I received mine last month and it’s already a household hit. 2018 will see many recipes from this totally-not-overrated kitchen appliance.
Wilton Cookie Spatula – Recently someone asked me more about this cookie spatula featured in my basic gingerbread cookie recipe. It reminded me that the simplest of tools are often the most useful.
